BPS Lampung Province Holds Coaching and Awarding of Love Statistics Village

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) held a Village Love Statistics coaching at the Lampung Province BPS Hall, Friday (22/12/2023). This activity was attended by the Head of BPS Lampung Province, Atas Parlindungan Lubis, Head of the Lampung Province Community Empowerment, Village and Transmigration (PMDT) Office, Dr. Zaidirina, and 29 village representatives throughout Lampung Province.

In his speech, Atas Parlindungan Lubis, said that the presence of the Desa Cinta Statistik (Beautiful Village) Program is to encourage collaboration and utilization of statistical data for targeted policies.

Atas continued, this program aims to strengthen statistical guidance in villages or sub-districts throughout Indonesia, which is based on the mandate of Law No. 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics, which emphasizes the importance of statistical development at the village level.

One of the main focuses of the Desa Cantik program is to provide literacy to the community through village officials in understanding the Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek), so that they can identify the use of Regsosek data for village needs in the context of efforts to alleviate poverty.

The event in the hall was then continued with the awarding of certificates to 29 Love Statistics Villages in Lampung Province. The award certificates were handed over directly by the head of the Lampung Province PMDT Office, Dr. Zaidirina, and the Head of Lampung Province BPS, Atas Parlindungan.

"Hopefully Desa Cinta Statistik can be an inspiration for other villages in Lampung Province to be more active and involved in Desa Cinta Statistik activities," Atas hoped.

With this coaching, it is hoped that villages in Lampung Province can better understand the importance of statistical data and can actively participate in organizing village statistics, so that village development can be more targeted and sustainable.

And the Desa Cinta Statistik (Beautiful Village) program marks the government's commitment in advancing the development of statistics at the village level, as a strategic step to support inclusive and sustainable development throughout Indonesia.
