BPS-Statistics Lampung Province held an online Reconciliation of 2024 Construction Cost Index (IKK) Data through Zoom Meeting, on Thursday (13/6). This activity aims to obtain quality IKK data and is used as the basis for the formulation of the General Allocation Fund (DAU), especially in the field of Public Works.
The Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Atas Parlindungan Lubis, in his speech said that IKK is an important component in the calculation of DAU, "where the higher the IKK figure in a region, the higher the cost required to build a building in that area", he said.
Furthermore, "The reconciliation of IKK commodity package price data in regencies/cities throughout Lampung Province is carried out to ensure price data that is in accordance with the IKK principle," Atas explained. He added that the price data obtained must be "comparable" or have comparability between districts / cities throughout Indonesia, and "accurate" which describes the actual situation in the field.
This data reconciliation was attended by 7 participants from the Province, 29 Construction Cost Expenditure Survey Teams (SHKK) from districts/cities, and 2 facilitators from the Directorate of Price Statistics of BPS . The activity lasted for two days, from June 13 to 14, 2024.
The main objective of this data reconciliation is to record all information related to prices/rent/wages, the causes of changes, and other reasons that are useful in explaining phenomena that occur in districts/cities. The reconciliation participants were actively involved in proactive discussions, discussed each issue thoroughly in the question and answer session, and always complied with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that had been determined. This was done to produce quality data and a comparable construction cost index.
The results of the 2024 IKK data reconciliation will later be used as the basis for a more precise and accurate DAU formulation, so that it can support more equitable and quality infrastructure development in Lampung Province.
