Main Imported Goods Classes that will experience Increases and Decrease in May 2024

The import value of Lampung Province in May 2024 reached US$149.74 million, a decrease of US$88.48 million or 37.14 percent compared to April 2024 which was recorded at US$238.22 million. The import value in May 2024 decreased by US$28.03 million or down 15.77 percent compared to May 2023 which was recorded at US$177.77 million.

Of the ten main categories of imported goods in May 2024, there were six categories of goods that experienced an increase in value compared to April 2024, namely seeds and fruit containing oil, an increase of 1,474.13 percent; various chemical products rose 67.32 percent; machinery/mechanical equipment and parts rose 62.14 percent; live animals rose 32.48 percent; dregs and waste from the food industry rose 19.39 percent; and organic chemicals rose 10.57 percent. Meanwhile, the categories of goods that experienced a decline were fertilizer, down 39.64 percent; cereals fell 44.65 percent; and sugar and confectionery fell 45.81 percent. Apart from that, there is one new category of goods, namely weapons and ammunition and their parts, with an import value of US$ 13.13 million.
