Population Census 2020

Since Lampung Province was formed in 1964, the population of Lampung has continued to develop. The SP2020 results recorded that the population of Lampung Province in September 2020 was 9.01 million people. This number has increased by around 1.40 million people compared to the SP2010 results or an average increase of around 140 thousand per year. When observed from 1971-2020, over the past 50 years the population of Lampung has more than tripled.

In the last ten years (2010-2020), the population growth rate of Lampung Province is 1.65 percent per year. There is an increase in the population growth rate of 0.41 percent when compared to the 2000-2010 period of 1.24 percent
