Analysis of Current Issues in Lampung Province 2025

This publication is designed to present an analysis of the socio-economic conditions in Lampung Province, focusing on two main sectors: agriculture and youth. The agricultural sector analysis aims to provide an overview of the dynamics of the agricultural sector in Lampung Province by presenting its characteristics, business structure, and level of prosperity.
This analysis is considered important because the agricultural sector is a leading sector in Lampung Province, both as a pillar of the economy and as a primary provider of employment. However, Lampung agriculture still faces various challenges, including land scarcity, the dominance of the informal workforce, farmer regeneration, farmer education levels, and limited access to a more adequate income.
Youth analysis is considered crucial due to their significant potential and strategic role in national and provincial development. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of the objective conditions of youth in Lampung Province is necessary.
This paper is compiled using official data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), particularly the results of the 2013 and 2023 Agricultural Censuses, the Agricultural Economic Survey, the National Socio-Economic Survey, the National Labor Force Survey, and other supporting socio-economic indicators.
