On February, 19 2024, the March 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) began. The census in Lampung Province was carried out in 15 districts/cities with a household sample of 10,470 households. Different from previous years which was carried out in March, this year's Susenas sample household enumeration was carried out on 19 February-9 March 2024. This was done because of the month of Ramadan in mid-March.
The Susenas enumeration uses 2 types of questionnaires, namely VSEN24.K and VSEN24.KP. Some of the indicators produced from the VSEN24.K questionnaire include demographic information, education, savings ownership, employment, use of communication tools, health complaints, family planning, housing, and social protection. And for the VSEN24.KP questionnaire, the information obtained is information on household expenditure and consumption as well as income, receipts and non-consumption expenditure.
Some uses of Susenas data are as a basis for planning and evaluating national development programs; sectoral program planning and evaluation (Ministry/Institution); provision of indicators for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and Nawacita. 3 of the 11 Macro Development Targets for 2020-2024 are calculated using Susenas data, namely poverty, Gini Ratio, and Human Development Index (HDI). Considering the importance of the data produced from Susenas, monitoring the Susenas census needs to be done from the start. In this way, it is hoped that the enumeration can run smoothly and produce quality data that is appropriate to field conditions.
