Did you know that every March 22nd is celebrated as World Water Day? The main focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of the 6th Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs): Water and Sanitation for all by 2030. In 2023, the percentage of households that have access to adequate drinking water in Lampung Province will be 82.78%. This also means that 8 out of 10 households in Lampung Province have access to adequate drinking water. However, there are still areas in Lampung Province that have low access to safe drinking water.

Access to adequate drinking water is if the main source of water used for drinking comes from tap water, drilled wells or pumped wells, protected/unprotected wells, protected/unprotected springs, and rainwater. This also includes when the main water source used by the household comes from branded bottled water or refill water. The percentage distribution of households according to the main water source used by households for drinking in Lampung Province in 2023 is mostly protected/unprotected wells at 49.47%.
