Lampung Province's Gender Development Index in 2023 reaches 91.33

The Gender Development Index (IPG) is a tool used to measure gender equality in a country or region. The IPG measures the same dimensions and variables of achievement as the HDI, but reveals disparities in the achievement of men and women.

The IPG of Lampung Province in 2023 will reach 91.33, which means that women's achievements are lower than men's achievements. This can be seen from the male HDI figure which is higher than the female HDI figure, namely 76.21 (male HDI) compared to 69.60 (female HDI).

The dimension of a decent standard of living greatly influences men's HDI achievement. In 2023, the PPP value of men will reach 15.288 million/year, while the PPP value of women will only reach half that amount, namely 8.283 million/year. The closer the IPG is to 100, the smaller the gap between men and women.
