Lampung's Trade Balance for November 2025: Surplus of US$386.70 million

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province reported consistently positive foreign trade performance in Lampung in the November 2025 period. Lampung Province again recorded a trade balance surplus of US$386.70 million.

This positive performance was announced in the Official Statistics News Release (BRS) held online on Monday (January 5). Lampung's export value in November 2025 reached US$532.61 million, a significant 7.49 percent year-on-year growth compared to US$495.49 million in November 2024.

Cumulatively from January to November 2025, Lampung Province's export performance reached US$5.98 billion, or an increase of 19.07 percent compared to the same period last year, which reached US$5.02 billion.

During January to November 2025, the three main countries that were the largest export destinations for Lampung Province were: the United States with an export value reaching US$926.66 million (15.51%) with its main export commodities being Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils, followed by Pakistan reaching US$544.13 million (9.11%) with its main commodities being Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils, and China with an export value of US$536.72 million (8.98%) with its main export commodities also being Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils.

In addition, the largest commodity share in Lampung's exports in November 2025 was dominated by three main commodity groups, namely: Animal/Vegetable Fats and Oils: US$2,352.04 million (Share 39.36%); Coffee, Tea, and Spices: US$1,580.15 million (Share 26.44%); Mineral Fuels: US$672.59 million (Share 11.26%).

In terms of imports, the value of foreign imports in November 2025 was recorded at US$145.91 million. "This import value represents a 25.54 percent year-on-year increase, compared to US$116.23 million in November 2024," Sabiel explained.

Cumulatively, the import value from January to November 2025 reached US$1.91 billion, a decrease of 1.07 percent compared to the import value in the same period in 2024, which reached US$1.93 billion.

From January to November 2025, the three main countries of origin for Lampung Province's largest imports were: Nigeria with an import value of US$354.00 million (18.58%) with the main import commodity being Mineral Fuels. Followed by the United States with US$277.88 million (14.58%) with the largest import commodity being Trains, trams, and their parts. Then, Australia with an import value of US$233.06 million (12.23%) with its main import commodity being Live Animals.

Overall, the largest share of Lampung's import commodities in November 2025 was dominated by three main commodity groups, namely: Mineral Fuels: US$789.53 million (41.43%); Sugar and Confectionery: US$183.15 million (9.61%); Live Animals: US$180.71 million (9.48%).


Lampung Province's Statistics Office (BPS) Records 0.59 Percent Inflation in December 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province recorded inflation of 0.59 percent on a month-to-month (m-to-m) basis in December 2025. "This figure is observed to be higher when compared to inflation in December the previous year which was 0.47 percent," said BPS Lampung Province Young Expert Statistician, Muhammad Sabiel Adi Prakasa, in an official online statistical news release, Monday (5/1).

He reported that the main driver of monthly (m-to-m) inflation was the Food, Beverages, and Tobacco group, which experienced inflation of 1.42 percent, and contributed 0.48 percent to inflation. Conversely, the Health group recorded deflation of 0.13 percent, but the Information, Communication, and Financial Services group accounted for the largest share of deflation, at 0.01 percent.

"The five main commodities that contributed to monthly inflation (month-to-month/m-to-m) were Cayenne Pepper with a contribution of (0.17 percent); followed by Garlic (0.11 percent); Shallots (0.10 percent); Gold Jewelry (0.05 percent); and Gasoline (0.03 percent). On the other hand, several commodities that contributed to deflation and held back the rate of inflation in general, among others: Tomatoes with a contribution to deflation of (0.04 percent); followed by Salak (0.02 percent); Bath Soap (0.02 percent); Eggplant (0.01 percent), and River, Lake, and Ferry Transportation Fares (0.01 percent)," explained Muhammad Sabiel Adi Prakasa.

Meanwhile, when compared to the same month in the previous year or (year-on-year/y-on-y), Lampung Province experienced inflation of 1.25 percent in December 2025.

Furthermore, the expenditure group with the highest annual inflation rate in December 2025 (year-on-year) was Personal Care and Other Services, which recorded the highest inflation rate (8.45 percent) with a contribution of 0.53 percent. However, the Food, Beverages, and Tobacco group contributed the most to inflation, with inflation of 4.07 percent and a contribution of 1.35 percent.

Muhammad Sabiel Adi Prakasa explained, "The Education group experienced the largest deflation, namely 17.98 percent, with a deflation contribution of 1.21 percent."

The following are the five main commodities driving inflation on an annual basis (y-on-y), through December 2025, namely: Gold Jewelry with a contribution of (0.53 percent); followed by Red Chilies (0.36 percent); Shallots (0.27 percent); Bird's Eye Chilies (0.16 percent); and Rice (0.14 percent). On the other hand, several commodities that contributed to deflation and held back the rate of inflation in general, include: Senior High School with a contribution of deflation of (0.85 percent); followed by Junior High School (0.39 percent); Tomatoes (0.14 percent); Garlic (0.08 percent); and Squid (0.07 percent),"

Furthermore, the Lampung Province Statistics Agency (BPS) also monitored inflation in the four regencies/cities covered by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). In December 2025, the highest annual inflation (y-on-y) was recorded in Mesuji Regency at 2.69 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Bandar Lampung City at 0.44 percent. And when viewed on a monthly basis (m-to-m), the highest inflation occurred in Mesuji Regency at 0.87 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Bandar Lampung City at 0.43 percent.



Lampung Province's Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) Increases by 0.64 Percent in December 2025


The Lampung Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released the Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) index for Lampung Province in December 2025, recording a value of 130.15, a 0.64 percent increase compared to the previous month. This data was presented by Muhammad Sabiel Adi Prakasa, a Young Expert Statistician at BPS Lampung Province, in the Official Statistics News (BRS) held online on Monday (January 5).

"As a reminder, the NTP indicator is a comparison between the price index received by farmers for their produce compared to the price index paid by farmers to meet their needs," explained Sabiel.

The increase in the NTP in December 2025 was driven by increases in several subsectors, including: Food Crops, which increased by 1.62 percent; followed by Horticulture, which increased by 5.64 percent; Animal Husbandry (0.05 percent); and Capture Fisheries, which increased by 0.57 percent. Meanwhile, two subsectors experienced decreases: Smallholder Plantation Crops, which decreased by 0.50 percent; and Aquaculture, which decreased by 1.06 percent.




The occupancy rate for star-rated hotels in November 2025 was 48.93 percent.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province released data on the performance of the regional tourism industry through the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) indicator for the period of November 2025. The monitoring results show a positive trend in the form of increasing hotel occupancy across all categories, both starred and non-starred hotels.

In November 2025, the ROR (Room Occupancy Rate) for star-rated hotels in Lampung Province reached 48.93 percent. This figure represents a 1.67 percentage point increase compared to October 2025 (month-to-month). However, compared to the same period the previous year (year-on-year), there was a 2.48 percentage point decrease. This monthly growth indicates continued dynamic tourism and business activity at the end of the year.


The same upward trend is also seen in the non-star accommodation sector. The ROR for non-star hotels in November 2025 was recorded at 25.60 percent, an increase of 1.70 percentage points compared to October 2025. On an annual basis, this figure represents a decrease of 2.35 percentage points compared to November 2024..


Positive Transportation Trends in Lampung: Rail, Sea, and Air Sectors to Grow Compactly Annually by November 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province released data on intermodal transportation developments for the November 2025 period. This report provides an overview of population mobility through transportation modes that are the lifeblood of the regional economy.

The Lampung Province Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the number of air passenger departures in November 2025 was 52,102 people, a decrease of 2.77 percent compared to October 2025. Conversely, when compared to November 2024, there was an increase of 4.52 percent.

Furthermore, the number of sea passengers was recorded at 44,436, representing a 4.33 percent increase compared to the previous month (month-to-month). Meanwhile, year-on-year (year-on-year), there was a significant surge of 20.83 percent compared to November 2024.


A similar trend occurred for rail transportation, which served 72,025 passengers in November 2025, down 0.81 percent month-on-month. Meanwhile, year-on-year, it recorded a 0.86 percent increase.
