Conducting an audience to IIB Darmajaya, Socialization of BPS-Statistics' Quick Wins Program Held

BPS-Statistics Lampung Province today (21/3) held an audience with the Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business (IIB). This visit aims to socialize the Statistics Corner and Village Love Statistics Program, a program initiated by BPS-Statistics to increase data literacy among the academic community.

The hearing agenda which took place in Building A meeting room of the IIB Darmajaya rectorate was attended by the Head of the General Section of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Agung Erianto Juliandono, and his staff. On the IIB Darmajaya side, Dr. Sutedi, S.Kom., M.T.I. (Vice Rector 1 for Academic Affairs), Dr. M. Said Hasibuan, M.Kom. (Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science/ Director of MBKM), and Dr. Lukmanul Hakim, S.E., M.Si. (Head of IIB Darmajaya's Economic and Business Development Center).

IIB Darmajaya's Vice Rector 1 for Academic Affairs, Dr. Sutedi, S.Kom., M.T.I. and his staff welcomed this Statistics Corner cooperation program. He stated that IIB Darmajaya is ready to support and cooperate with BPS in realizing this program.

"IIB Darmajaya is committed to increasing data literacy among the academic community," said Dr. Sutedi. "We are ready to provide a special room for the Statistics Corner and will encourage lecturers and students to utilize statistical data in various activities."

Dr. Sutedi also said that current data needs have become very important. IIB Darmajaya has high data needs, both for lecturers and students. This is in line with technological developments and the need for accurate information.

"The presence of BPS-Statistics and this collaboration program at IIB Darmajaya will help us meet these data needs," said Dr. Sutedi. "Statistical data is very important for various activities, such as research, application development, and decision making."

The Statistics Corner program is expected to increase statistical literacy among students. By understanding the purpose of statistics, students will be more motivated to learn it.

The same thing was also expressed by Dr. Lukmanul Hakim, S.E., M.Si. (Head of the IIB Darmajaya Center for Economic and Business Development).

"Understanding statistics is very important in this digital era," said Dr. Lukmanul Hakim. "With high data literacy, students can become a smart generation and be able to utilize data to solve various problems."

Then more than that, Dr. M. Said Hasibuan, M.Kom. (Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science / Director of MBKM) hopes that the collaboration between IIB Darmajaya and BPS Lampung Province is not only limited to the Statistics Corner, hopefully it can also be integrated with IIB Darmajaya's Merdeka Learning Campus (MBKM) program.

"MBKM not only offers PKL and internships, but also independent studies that are expected to have a connection with the Community Service Work Practice (PKPM) program at the Lokus Desa Cantik," explained Dr. M. Said Hasibuan. "We are very happy if statisticians from BPS-Statistics Lampung Province can become a teaching team at IIB Darmajaya."

The hearing agenda was then closed with a campus tour, IIB Darmajaya showed several locations that could be utilized as a statistical corner area later.

It is hoped that the collaboration between BPS-Statistics Lampung Province and IIB Darmajaya can continue to be well established and can soon be realized in order to improve statistical data literacy in Lampung, concluded Sutedi.
