Bandar Lampung, 22 March 2024 - BPS-Statistics Lampung Province Cooperation Team made a visit aimed at discussing various strategic program agendas with the UPT for the Development of International Cooperation and Services (PKLI) at the University of Lampung (Unila). This visit is a concrete step in strengthening the synergy between BPS-Statistics and Higher Education in developing programs related to statistics and education.
One of the main agendas discussed was the Village of Love Statistics program. This program aims to increase the competency of village officials in managing and utilizing data. Apart from that, this program is also useful for improving the quality of village data and information, as well as empowering village communities through the use of data. In this meeting, the Lampung Province BPS Collaboration Team had intensive discussions with the Unila PKLI UPT Team to formulate an effective and sustainable implementation strategy for the Village of Love Statistics program combined with the Unila Real Work Lecture Program (KKN).
Apart from that, the discussion also involved the Statistics Corner program, which has been running at the Unila Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Library. The Statistics Corner is a form of socialization for BPS in disseminating the variety and benefits of the statistical products produced. Both parties agreed to optimize the use of the Statistics Corner, not only for FEB but also the entire Unila academic community and the wider community.
Not only that, the visit agenda also includes a discussion about the implementation of Merdeka Belajar - Unila Merdeka Campus at BPS Lampung Province. The concept of Independent Learning - Independent Campus is believed to provide greater space for students to develop creativity, innovation and skills that are relevant to the demands of the job market.
Agung Erianto Juliandono, S.ST., Head of the General Section of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, stated, "This visit is a form of joint commitment to strengthen the cooperation between BPS and Unila which has been running so far. We believe this collaboration will have a significant positive impact for society and regional development."
