Conditions of Labor Market Dimensions in the 2023 Gender Inequality Index

The third dimension forming IKG is the Labor Market dimension. Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) according to gender is an indicator used in calculating this dimension. TPAK data was obtained from Sakernas data.

During 2018-2022 women's TPAK is increasing. Women's TPAK in 2018 was 51.22 percent, increasing 2.32 percentage points to 53.54 percent in 2022, while men's TPAK decreased 1.19 percentage points from 87.03 percent in 2018 to 85.84 percent in in 2022.

The higher increase in women's TPAK compared to men makes opportunities to participate in the labor market between women and men more equal.
