One of the dimensions in calculating the Gender Inequality Index (IKG) is the empowerment dimension. This dimension is formed by two indicators: the percentage of the population aged 25 years and above with at least a high school education, and the percentage of legislative members. The percentage of legislative members represents the role of women and men in decision-making, aiming for greater equality.

Based on the data, the proportion of female legislative members in Lampung Province is 18.82% in 2023, which has remained consistent over the past three years (2021-2023).

This percentage has decreased compared to the previous two years (2019-2020), where it was 20.00%. The regions in Lampung Province with the highest percentages of female legislative members are Pesawaran District (28.89%), Pringsewu District (27.50%), Metro City (24.00%), Mesuji District (22.86%), and Bandar Lampung City (22.00%).
