63.13% of the population aged 15-14 years are married

In 2023, in Lampung Province, 63.13 percent of the population aged between 15 and 49 years will be married. This means that out of every 100 people in that age range, around 63 people are married. This figure provides an overview of the condition of marriage in Lampung Province. This percentage is quite high, indicating that the majority of the population in this productive age group is married. By knowing that more than half of the population in this age group is married, the government and various other parties can use it to understand social dynamics and make better policies related to family welfare, reproductive health programs, and other community services, for example, programs. Supporting families, such as education on reproductive health, family planning, and marriage counseling services, can be further enhanced to support their needs.

The percentage of the population who is married varies quite widely between districts/cities. In general, the percentage of women with married status tends to be higher than men in almost all regions. Mesuji Regency has the highest percentage of married residents, both men (64.34%) and women (79.06%). This information can help the government and related parties understand the dynamics of marriage in each district/city in Lampung Province, as well as plan policies and programs that suit the needs of the population in each region.
