BPS-Statistics Lampung Province Holds Webinar about Scholarship and Studying Abroad

Bandar Lampung 16 January 2024 – Knowledge seekers and those interested in studying abroad have the golden opportunity to hear direct experiences from three selected sources. A webinar entitled "Experiences of Studying Abroad and Secrets of Getting a Scholarship" was held by BPS-Statistics Lampung Province on Tuesday, January 16 2024. This webinar opens the door to insight for everyone who wants to explore information about studying abroad and the process of getting a scholarship.

 

The speakers presented were not just one, but three people at once from various universities, countries and scholarships. The first resource person is Siectio Dicko Pratama, S.ST., M.Sc., employee of BPS-Statistics Lampung Utara Regency, who had the opportunity to study at Wageningen University and Research, Netherlands (2020-2022) with a scholarship from the Education Fund Management Institute or who can known as LPDP. A resource person who is no less cool is Eko Teguh Widodo, S.ST., M.Sc, an employee from BPS-Statistics Lampung Province who received his education at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Korea (2019-2021) with a Scholarship: KAIST Scholarship. The third speaker featured Reny Andriati, S.ST, M.E, M.I.D.S who entered Takushoku University, Japan (2019-2020) with a Linkage Bappenas scholarship.

 

Present and also opening, the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Atas Parlindugan Lubis. He advised in his opening speech, "Increasing competency is not a right, but an obligation for all employees. Competency improvement is carried out based on organizational units and has several provisions. After completing their education, they must have an impact on the institution."

 

The webinar was communicative and interesting, participants were guided to answer important questions such as what can be gained from the experience of studying abroad and how to achieve the scholarship they dream of. The speakers also share their personal experiences, provide insight into different cultures, and provide practical tips for obtaining scholarships.
