Life Expectancy (UHH) in Lampung Province has Reached 74.17 Years

BPS-Statistics measures the health dimension through components of longevity and healthy living using life expectancy (UHH) at birth obtained from Population Census data. UHH at birth is the estimated average length of time (in years) that a person can live during their life. UHH can also be interpreted as the number of years a person can go from birth. BPS-Statistics is making updates to measure UHH for 2020-2023 through the 2020 Population Census Long Form (LF SP2020). The update was carried out partly because of changes in demographic characteristics in the last 10 years.

Lampung Province's UHH continues to increase from year to year. During the period 2020 to 2023, UHH has increased by 0.51 year or an average growth in that period of 0.23 percent per year. In 2020, Lampung's UHH reached 73.66 years and in 2023 it will be 74.17 years. UHH in 2023 will increase by 0.22 years or 0.30 percent compared to the previous year, higher than the average growth in 2020-2022 which reached 0.20 percent per year.
